Hey Andy, what does it mean when an ex-girlfriend calls me to wish me a happy anniversary?
Hi. OK, well, if your ex-girlfriend is calling you on your anniversary, then yeah, that is a little creepy. I mean, it definitely means she’s thinking of you, but in what way or why she’s thinking of you, you can’t be sure unless you ask, and that can’t be a good idea to probe into it, ya know?
If you’re already (still) friends, and your wife or current girlfriend is OK with that, then she’s probably congratulating you as a friend. But if you’re not friends with her anymore, and say, this is just out of the blue, then just think it’s weird and let it go (brush it off like nothing). Because she’s obviously an “ex” for a reason, right? And just that gives you more than enough reasons not to look into it.
